Planet Seafood has sold fresh seafood from its shop in Bentleigh since 1995. Today it calls itself Melbourne’s online fishmonger: order by midday and daily-fresh Australian seafood arrives the next day, Monday to Saturday, across Melbourne. The range runs from fillets, prawns, oysters and crab to whole fish, and the hero products are the platters and packs made up for entertaining. The website is the business: it had to take orders smoothly, show what is fresh and make delivery rules clear.
What we did
We designed and built the online store and wrote the copy. Products are grouped the way customers shop: platters, packs, fillets, shellfish, oysters and whole fish, with sauces and extras to add. A postcode checker tells a customer straight away whether we deliver to them, and the minimum order and next-day cut-off are spelled out before checkout. Customers can also choose to collect from the shop.
Ongoing work
We manage the store and its content. In 2026 we restarted the recipe blog, with a new seafood recipe most months, added answers to common questions on the main pages, built delivery pages for the suburbs Planet Seafood serves, and fixed the abandoned-cart emails, sales tracking and shipping labels. Manuel gets a monthly report with an audio summary.
The result
Planet Seafood is the first result on Google for “buy seafood online” and “seafood platter delivery melbourne”, and in September 2026 a quarter more search visitors went on to browse the store than a year earlier.
