Trevor West has been fitting Melbourne men for formal occasions since 1956. From its store on Toorak Road, South Yarra, it hires dinner suits, tuxedos, morning suits, wedding suits and accessories, and sells menswear from labels like Bugatti and Ben Sherman. It is part of the Coachman Menswear Group. Hire is a seasonal business, with weddings, school formals and the spring racing carnival all arriving in a rush, so the website has to be easy to find at exactly the right moment and easy to act on.
What we did
We designed and built the site and wrote the copy. The hire range is arranged by occasion and by garment, with a fitting guide and a formal wear guide so a customer knows what to ask for before they come in. A hire enquiry form on every hire page starts the conversation, and fittings happen in store.
Ongoing work
We manage the site and its search presence. In 2026 we rewrote the home page for Melbourne Cup, spring racing and South Yarra searches, simplified the hire categories into four, refreshed the spring racing page for the new season and kept the Google Business Profile up to date. David gets a weekly ranking report and a monthly report with an audio summary.
The result
Trevor West is on the front page of Google for the searches that matter. Its average position across all searches moved from 17.5 in September 2025 to 9.6 in September 2026, and in October 2026 it ranked first for “spring racing suit hire melbourne” and “tuxedo hire south yarra”.
